About Roofing Sherman Pros

A roofing company built around the one thing homeowners in storm country actually want, which is a straight answer.

Our story

How We Ended Up Doing This in Sherman

Roofing in Grayson County has a rhythm to it. The spring storms come through in April and May, the phones go, and for a few weeks afterward there are more trucks on the streets than live within fifty miles of here. Then those trucks leave, and the people who stay behind spend the following year answering for work they did not do. Roofing Sherman Pros was put together on the other side of that equation, by people whose own houses are on these streets.

That changes the incentives in a way that is easy to say and harder to fake. When you will still be in Sherman for the next storm season, a roof you sold someone who did not need it becomes a conversation you have at the hardware store. It is not a moral position so much as a practical one: the work has to be defensible to people you will keep running into.

What we stand for today comes down to a short list. Tell people the truth about their roof, including when the truth is that it is fine. Put the price in writing, itemized, so it can be checked. Show the photographs before talking about money. Stay inside the lines Texas law draws around contractors and insurance claims, and say clearly where those lines are. It is not a complicated set of commitments, but in this trade it is a smaller club than it should be.

What We Are Trying to Do

Our aim is to be the roofing company a Sherman homeowner can call without having to put your guard up first. That means no scare-selling, no manufactured urgency, and no quote that hides what it includes behind a single number. It means being as willing to say "this has six years left, call us then" as we are to quote a tear-off.

The broader ambition is a bit simpler. Roofing has a trust problem in storm-exposed markets, and it is earned. We would like the local standard for how this is done to be a little higher than it currently is, and the only way to move it is one honest job at a time.

What sets the work apart

What Sets Our Work Apart

01

We say when a roof does not need replacing.

The most profitable thing a roofer can do is replace a roof that had years left, and nobody would know. We would rather write the repair quote, do the repair, and be the company that gets called when the replacement is genuinely due.

02

Local crews with local accountability.

We live in Grayson County. Our work is on streets we drive, for people we run into, and a warranty question two years from now reaches the same people who did the job rather than a number that has been disconnected.

03

Every estimate is itemized.

Materials, labor, decking allowance, disposal and permits appear as separate lines. That is what makes a roofing bid comparable, and it is why a suspiciously low competing quote can usually be explained once you can see what has been left out of it.

04

Photographs before the pitch.

Nobody can inspect their own roof. Every finding is photographed on your roof and shown to you before price is discussed. If we cannot show you the problem, we do not ask you to pay to fix it.

05

We know how North Texas weather ages a roof.

Sherman runs August highs near ninety-three degrees with a record of 113, and has seen winter lows below zero. That annual swing fatigues asphalt in ways it does not in milder places, and hail does the rest. Texas records more major hail events than any other state by a wide margin. Judging a roof here means reading it against that, not against a national average.

06

We are straight about insurance, including the limits.

Texas Insurance Code section 4102.163 bars a roofing contractor from acting as a public adjuster or advertising that it will, and we do not. We document damage thoroughly, produce an estimate detailed enough for a carrier to work from, and meet your adjuster on site. We also tell homeowners plainly that Texas law requires them to pay their deductible, and that a contractor offering to waive it is committing a Class B misdemeanor.

What We Can Tell You, and What We Cannot

We would rather be precise here than impressive. Texas does not license roofing contractors at the state level, so any company in this market claiming a Texas roofing license is telling you something that does not exist. We carry insurance and will provide proof of coverage before work starts.
